Gitana: Gypsy: Freedom....To Dance. To Find yourself.
In search of a creative outlet after graduating from design school, a new form of self-expression and a longing to feel comfort within her body, Natalie sought out the powerful movement art form: hoop dance. After first encountering the divine dance of Spiral at Floydfest, she was inspired to make a hoop a few years later as a gift for her mother. Since that first revolution around her hips two and a half years ago, she has been enchanted by the multi-faceted magic of the hoop as a transformational tool, soothing mind and body. She has found hoop dancing to be the path to increased physical awareness, confidence, self-expression, joy and fitness.
Having been intimately involved in the growth of the hoop community in Richmond since 2009, Natalie has been blessed with opportunities to share the joy of hoop dance with many others throughout the Richmond metro-area. Seeing the gifts the hoop has bestowed upon others, she was prompted to obtain a Hoopnotica Teacher certification and create Gitana Hoop Dance. She is motivated by the rewarding interaction hoop dance offers and participates in community outreach in Richmond, VA. She continues to explore movement with her hoop, integrating yoga, capoeira and dance into her personal practice and is constantly inspired by the movement arts community in RVA.

Build a Custom Hoop!
Adult sized hoops are bigger and heavier than the hoops you used as a child and allow for greater success! They move slower around your body giving you more time to react. Contact me at gitanahoopdance_gmail.com for pricing.
Choose your size:
Beginner hoops range from 43"-37".Measure from the ground to your belly button to determine diameter of hoop., plus an additional inch or two.
Choose your tubing:
3/4" 100 Psi (Standard Hoop Dance Hoop)
3/4" 160 Psi (Heavier Weight for Beginners, Large Frame, Cardio)
1/2" 125 Psi (Lightweight, for Advanced Hoopers. Under 38".)

Specify your colors! Decorative, Vinyl and Gaff available.
